Association of the Belarusian Banks was founded in 1990. It is a non-profit organization which consolidates all the banks functioning in the Republic of Belarus (31) with a wide range of subsidiaries and branches across the country (more than 500) and 10 organizations, involved in banking.

The association is mainly aimed at:

• protecting its members' rights and legal interests;
• coordinating the activities of banks and enhancing their performance;
• promoting the elaboration and implementation of monetary policy and development of the banking industry in the Republic of Belarus.

• V.A.NAZARENKO – Deputy Chairperson of "Belarusbank" JSSB
• L.V.NIKANOROVA – Chief Executive of "Priorbank" OJSC
• V.I.PODKOVYROV – Chairperson of "Belagroprombank" OJSC.

The Association is headed by the Chairperson of the Association who is elected for a 3 years period by General meeting and is a member of the Council of Association.
